Animal Flow® is a low impact, total body exercise program that uses movement patterns which combines crawling, rolling, jumping, rotating and crouching to work various muscle groups and explore multiple planes of movement at the same time.
By reconnecting to their bodies through movement training, Animal Flow® enthusiasts gain a better understanding of their bodies while enjoying increased mobility, flexibility, stability, power, endurance, skill and neuromuscular communication. Animal Flow® includes a wide range of exercises and movement combinations that are grouped into six components, each designed to elicit specific results
- 1. Wrist mobilisations: Simple moves to strengthen and improve wrist mobility, to prepare the wrists for the time we spend on our hands in this type of practice. Having mobile wrists will make it easier to transition into ground based movement. It might take some time, but it will be worth it for your mind and body.
- 2. Activations: Static holds used to activate our bodies via the ground contact with our hands and feet. This can help us learn to switch on our “inner beast”.
- 3. Form Specific Stretches: Starting in an animal flow poses, you will move through your full range of motion across various joints, to increase mobility and flexibility preparing your body to flow or participate in your daily activities.
- 4. Traveling Forms: Our base positions go from static to dynamic movements to add another dimension to your strength and conditioning.
- 5. Switches and Transitions: The connection of the movements. This is where we learn to transition from one move to the other and learning to learn
where you are in space. It is both a fun brain and body movement puzzle. - 6. Flow: Putting all the pieces together. All the movements connecting to create movement magic. Your chance to create and play. From 1-3 movements to 20 or more, it does not matter. Just flow as fast as you can control. Enjoy and have fun.
